President Steven A. Weiner has announced his plans to retire as President of Menlo College, effective June 30, 2027.
We are deeply grateful for President Weiner’s 15 years of service to Menlo and his decade as President. While this news is bittersweet for many in our community, we are proud of the momentum Menlo has built under his stewardship—including through a period of significant change in higher education—and confident in the College’s strong path forward as we approach Menlo’s 100th anniversary.
During President Weiner’s tenure, Menlo reached significant milestones that strengthened the College’s academic and institutional future, including major fundraising successes that supported the construction of Arrillaga Hall and the launch of the Public Speaking Center. Menlo established its first graduate programs, and now offers three: the Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology (MASPP), the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS), and the Master of Science in Financial Technology (MSFT). Menlo experienced record-setting enrollment years during his tenure, and expanded opportunities for student-athletes—earning national team titles and advancing in Menlo’s transition to NCAA Division II—achievements made possible by the dedication of our community under his leadership.
The Board of Trustees has initiated the presidential search and formed a Presidential Search Committee to guide the process and recommend candidates to the Board. Menlo has retained WittKieffer as the College’s search partner to support outreach, recruitment, and engagement with the Menlo community.
