Degree Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior, exploring how people think, learn, develop, and interact with the world around them. At Menlo College, you’ll examine topics ranging from brain function and personality to mental health, identity, human development, and social behavior. Through small classes and close faculty mentorship, you’ll develop strong skills in research, critical thinking, communication, and ethical decision making while gaining a deeper understanding of the biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that shape human behavior.

The curriculum combines scientific inquiry with hands-on learning, preparing you for careers in healthcare, human resources, education, marketing, research, social services, and business, as well as graduate study. You can further customize your education by pairing psychology with a business minor or another area of interest, broadening your perspective and career opportunities. Throughout the program, you’ll apply what you’ve learned through research experiences and complete a senior thesis, working closely with faculty to investigate a topic of your choice and demonstrate the analytical and communication skills valued by employers and graduate schools.
