What Are Your Plans for Thanksgiving?

It’s always interesting to know what students do during breaks, like the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend. To learn more about their Thanksgiving traditions and plans, Menlo staff approached students with the following questions: “What’s your favorite part of the Thanksgiving tradition?” “What’s the most exciting thing you've done for Thanksgiving?” and “What are your plans for Thanksgiving?” Here is how they responded.

Q. What’s your favorite part of the Thanksgiving tradition?

“Every year I have dinner with my host family in the US. I always enjoyed turkey.”

Q. What’s the most exciting thing you’ve done for Thanksgiving?

“That’s my third Thanksgiving. I've been going to Sacramento to see my family. You want to be together with your family, cook a turkey, and enjoy life.”

“The most exciting thing was going to Los Angeles on Thanksgiving. We went on a roadtrip to San Diego, but we spent Thanksgiving in LA. It was fun—walking on Hollywood Boulevard, partying, and shopping.”

Q. What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

“I am going home to Sacramento. I have Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house. All my family comes. The table is decorated, it’s orange and yellow. We make traditional Thanksgiving food, and we make Samoan food.”
