President Richard A. Moran Elected to Joint Venture Silicon Valley Board of Directors

President Richard A. Moran of Menlo College was among five new members elected to the Board of Directors of Joint Venture Silicon Valley in November. Others approved at the board’s quarterly meeting in Redwood City included Sam Liccardo, Mayor-elect, City of San Jose, Beau Goldie, Chief Executive Officer, Santa Clara Valley Water District, Chad Seiler, Partner, KPMF, and John Tortora, COO of Sharks Sports & Entertainment.

“Menlo College is a vital part of the Silicon Valley ecosystem. We’re delighted that President Moran will take his rightful place alongside Silicon Valley’s leaders,” said Russell Hancock, Joint Venture CEO.

President Moran said, “It is an honor to join such a highly regarded group of leaders in our community, and I look forward to collaborating with them to achieve long-lasting improvements in our community.”

Moran’s career includes serving as a venture capitalist and consultant to Fortune 500 companies, as well as taking an active role in the education community in the Silicon Valley and beyond. As an advocate for organizational effectiveness, he has authored seven books and is credited with starting the genre of “Business Bullet Books.” His most recent book is titled Navigating Tweets, Feats and Deletes. He is a frequent speaker on workplace issues and hosts a weekend radio show on KCBS called “In the Workplace.”
