OLLI Lecture Series comes to Menlo College June 16

Kevin Dincher, a lecturer of philosophy at University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, will come to the Russell Center Great Room at Menlo College on Tuesday, June 16, 2:00-3:30pm, to discuss 15th-century Europe and the simultaneous advents of religious fundamentalism and modern European society as explored in Karen Armstrong's best-seller, The Battle for God.

The presentation, “1492: The Emergence of Religious Fundamentalism”, is part of an ongoing series of lectures sponsored by Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University, East Bay and is open to the public.

OLLI at CSUEB provides opportunities for intellectual stimulation and learning to mature students (50+) and features low-cost, exciting and challenging lectures, courses and field trips in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. Programs are presented by Cal State East Bay emeritus faculty and other distinguished educators.
