Last Tuesday, before the start of Menlo's crucial baseball game against the visiting Biola University Eagles, Vice President for External Affairs Catherine Reeves threw out a ceremonial first pitch. Reeves, who is responsible for major gifts development and fundraising for the College, delivered a strike to start the day off right.

Catherine is actually a 2000 graduate of Biola's BOLD Program where she received a degree in Organizational Leadership. However on Tuesday, she must have given the Oaks some good karma against her alma mater. Menlo played a great game beating the Eagles 9-8 in front of a packed crowd at Cartan Field.

The athletics department was thrilled with Catherine's presence… a nice addition to what turned into an exciting afternoon of baseball.
