Menlo College junior Danielle McCarthy was named the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Offensive Player of the Week for her tremendous efforts in leading the Oaks to a 3-0 record last week. McCarthy (Sacramento, Calif.) notched her first hat trick of the season in Tuesday’s 5-0 win over Sierra Nevada then followed it up with a two goal effort against Providence Christian on Saturday. She also tallied a pair of assists on the week to bring her point total to 12. Her five goals bring her career total to 23, good for third place all-time in Menlo College women’s soccer history.
