September 29, 2011

The Fall 2011 Colloquium Series kicks off today with a presentation from professor Jan Jindra, Ph.D., titled “Crises, Liquidity Shocks, and Fire Sales at Financial Institutions”. He will discuss his recent research, which set out to “investigate liquidity shocks and shocks to fundamentals during financial crises at commercial banks, investment banks, and hedge funds.”

The Colloquium Series is open to all Menlo students, faculty, and staff. The series allows scholars to discuss their research in an informal setting with peers, students, and the community-at-large. All presentations start at 4 pm and will be held in the Brawner Hall Board Room. Refreshments will be served.
