Emergency Training at Menlo Aug. 5, 7.

Menlo College, in cooperation with the city of Menlo Park and the Menlo Park Fire Protection District will be hosting Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training on Aug. 5 and 7 on campus in the Russell Center. This community event will be open to the public.

This is a comprehensive 16 hour training program to prepare individuals to be self sufficient in a major disaster situation for at least 72 hours. The hands-on training program teaches participants how to develop teams during disasters and participate in emergency assistance.

Participants will receive valuable information and tools including a CERT backpack (helmet, vest, gloves, goggles, etc.) and will receive certification for the course to act as resources for emergency response situations.
