Dr. Janis Zaima, Professor of Accounting and Finance, Joins Menlo College Web Master | July 22, 2013 This fall Dr. Janis Zaima joins Menlo College, Silicon Valley's Business School, as a Professor of Accounting and Finance. She was a professor and the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance at San Jose State University. In that capacity, she was also the Director of the Master of Science in Accountancy program. “I look forward to contributing to Menlo College, an academic institution with innovative curricula, exciting programs, and growth potential,” said Dr. Zaima. As a professor, she taught both undergraduate and graduate courses including those for special MBA programs offered at Cisco and Apple. Prior to joining San Jose State, Dr. Zaima taught finance at the University of Colorado. “We are very proud of our Accounting program and the success with which our graduates are finding employment in their field. Janis Zaima's expertise as a faculty member, researcher, and leader will further enhance our teaching excellence and ability to grow our offerings,” said President James Kelly. Dr. Zaima earned a baccalaureate in Mathematics, master of business administration in Finance and Econometrics, and doctorate in Finance from the University of Washington. She is an editor of the global academic journal, Review of Accounting and Finance.
