On February 9 and 10, Menlo College hosted the “Friends of Menlo” Planning Conference, a series of planning and social sessions designed to develop an October 2012 alumni celebration honoring Menlo’s 85th anniversary. The conference gathered a group of alumni leaders, who met with the Board of Trustees, the SBA Advisory Board, members of Menlo’s Executive Campaign Committee, and Menlo College administrators to develop the foundation for a major all-college reunion surrounding Homecoming, October 20, 2012.

“We are delighted to work closely with our wonderful alumni to create what we think will be the greatest celebration Menlo College has ever had,” said Catherine Reeves, Vice President for Advancement. “President Kelly and I would especially like to thank Simon Glinsky, Founder and Principal of the Glinsky Group, Co-Founder of, and member of the Menlo College SBA Advisory Board, who facilitated the conference.”

The Alumni Reunion Planning sessions featured 30 guests, who were divided into three work groups that focused on defining the format, budget, and marketing plan for upcoming Homecoming celebration. Over the course of the next month, the alumni will create an event proposal and plans for the festivities that are projected to span four days and gather a significant number of alumni from all over the world.
