6th Season of VITA at Menlo College

The sixth season of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is beginning at Menlo College. Sponsored by Menlo College and the IRS, this program is for low/middle income taxpayers (those with incomes less than $54,000). VITA is comprised of Menlo College accounting and finance students as well as community volunteers who have undergone 24 hours of training and passed a series of rigorous exams. It has been a successful program serving Menlo College’s surrounding communities. Last year, the Menlo College VITA Site prepared 140 tax returns, resulting in over $140,000 in tax refunds.
