The event will start at 5:30 pm in the Dining Hall. The goal of the banquet is to increase awareness about hunger both in underdeveloped as well as developed worlds. Several charities will attend the banquet, including the Second Harvest Foodbank. “We will be taking donations to a charity of choice in our area to help those less fortunate this upcoming holiday season!” said Kanesha Jenkins, a member of the Rotaract Club. “If you have any charity in mind that works with hunger in our area, we will be happy to support them.” Pre-registration is required. The cost of attendance is $20 per person. However, the event is free for resident students, and it is $10 dollars for off-campus students. Cash and checks will also be accepted at the door. Throughout the month of November, the Rotaract Club will be collecting non-perishable foods for the Second Harvest Foodbank. There will be 2 bins located in front of the Dining Hall for people to drop off their donations.
