Continuing an unbroken streak for more than a decade, Menlo College was named to The Princeton Review “2021 Best Colleges” list, recognition given to only 12% of all colleges and universities in the U.S. In 2020, Menlo College was also ranked #11 in Money for Best Business Colleges in the U.S. Menlo College is designated as both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American and Native American, Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI). Only 1% of all colleges and universities in the U.S. achieve this dual recognition.

Our campus is located 30 miles south of San Francisco, in Silicon Valley – one of the world’s most entrepreneurial and innovative locations. Silicon Valley is renowned as an innovation incubator with exceptional opportunities for experience-based learning.

Menlo seeks an outstanding teacher for a full-time open rank position in mathematics beginning August 2021. A Ph.D. (completion by August 2021) in mathematics or a related field is preferred, but not required. All specialties are welcome. We are particularly interested in a candidate with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The course load is eight courses per year. A successful candidate seeking to come in at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank should also have an active research program and a record of published scholarship appropriate to that rank. We are also interested in candidates seeking to come in at the Lecturer rank, which does not require a Ph.D.

Candidates should have a passion for conveying the conceptual part of mathematics, and be ready to participate in a creative environment. In addition to instruction in mathematics classes, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the campus Math Center to cultivate success by all Menlo College students.
