Accounting – Lecturer Position

Menlo College invites applicants for a Lecturer position in Accounting beginning August 2020. The college seeks individuals with a strong background in teaching and work experience in the area of Accounting.

Menlo College is a diverse four-year undergraduate college with a variety of majors in business and psychology. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers while integrating their studies within a liberal arts foundation. The college is located in Silicon Valley which allows students a variety of internship experiences and real world learning. Menlo is a small but growing school (~850 enrollment) that offers small classes that allow close faculty-student interaction.


Candidates must either have 1) an undergraduate accounting degree and a graduate degree OR 2) a master’s degree in accounting.

Candidates must be able and qualified to teach classes at the undergraduate level in areas such as Financial Accounting, Accounting Ethics, or specialized electives. Excellence in teaching must be demonstrated.

Candidates are preferred who have teaching with a diverse student body, and who have experience in multicultural settings. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a collaborative and collegial environment.


The position requires undergraduate teaching in Accounting, with possible secondary assignments in related topics, mentoring and advising undergraduate students, and active ongoing engagement in shared governance and other service assignments.


Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
