Admissions Counselors

Alan Alvarez

International Recruiting and Events Coordinator
Transfer Pathway Coordinator

Hola! My name is Alan Cesar Alvarez Orozco. You can just call me Alan. I am a recent graduate of Menlo with my degree in International Management. I transferred to Menlo from De Anza College and have absolutely loved my time here. So much so that I have found a position in the Admissions Office where I get to continue sharing my passion for Menlo and higher education with prospective students. I work with all international and transfer students through the admissions and enrollment process.

I’ve lived on campus, was a Student Ambassador, and have been a member of numerous clubs. I held the role of Marketing Coordinator, in fact, for our Menlo Adventures club. I was able to help plan all of the off-campus excursions that Menlo offers its students. My favorite was a trip to Yosemite.

Come visit us here at Menlo! I would be happy to tell you more about the college, how I ended up here, and what amazing experiences Menlo can provide you.

In the Office of Enrollment Management, we are here to be your guides on this exciting adventure! When I am not doing all things Menlo, I can be found at attending concerts, quoting comedy movies, or planning my next road trip.

Ryan Barnett

Admissions Events and Operations Coordinator

Hi there! My name is Ryan Barnett, and I am excited to be a part of the Admissions Staff here at Menlo College! I am a recent graduate of Menlo (Class of 2019) and received a B.S. in both Sports Management and Accounting. Now, I am back at Menlo for my first career post college to share this amazing place with all of you prospective students out there. I truly hope you will consider Menlo College when deciding where you want to spend the next four years of your life.

I made my way to Menlo from the town of Stevenson Ranch, California, just about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. However, I will now and forever consider Menlo my home, and I hope many of you prospective students will, too!

During my time at Menlo, I had the opportunity to experience just about everything from two different majors, to jobs in four different campus offices, to making friends from all around the world. This is what makes Menlo so special. If there is something you want to do, learn, or experience, Menlo can make it happen!

When I am not working in the Admissions Office, I enjoy finding fun and exotic dining experiences, riding rollercoasters, and broadcasting home athletic events for the Menlo College Sports Network.

I look forward to meeting all of you and having a conversation about sports, food, roller coasters, and of course, Menlo College. Schedule a campus tour today to experience a little slice of Menlo for yourself.
