Math Program Mission Statement
Our mission is to prepare and support undergraduates pursuing Psychology and Business to communicate mathematical ideas and quantitative information clearly, understand mathematical and statistical methods, and apply mathematical models to solve real-world problems.
Math Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
1. Students will express mathematical ideas and quantitative information accurately and concisely. Institutional Learning Outcomes: COMMUNICATION, CRITICAL THINKING, INFORMATION LITERACY 2. Students will use mathematical and statistical methods to analyze the quantitative reasoning of the real-word problems, relevant to students’ daily lives. Institutional Learning Outcomes: CRITICAL THINKING, QUANTITATIVE REASONING 3. Students will be able to structure real-life situations as mathematical problems. Institutional Learning Outcomes: CRITICAL THINKING, QUANTITATIVE REASONING, INFORMATION LITERACY 4. Students will have the ability to do mathematical computations with precision.
