An executive training course with Steve Denning

REGISTER HERE NOW

This interactive course is for executives—individually or in
teams—who want to enhance their understanding and leadership
skills for winning in the age of digital.

In this course, you will enhance your understanding in four key
areas:

You will also learn three new skills that are central to leadership success in the digital age:

SPACE

FROM THE INDUSTRIAL ERA TO THE AGE OF DIGITAL

The path to success in the digital era is almost the direct opposite of what it was in the industrial era. Instead of an internal focus on efficiency and outputs, the focus is now external: creating value and outcomes for customers. Instead of starting from what the firm can produce that might be sold to customers, now firms work backwards from what customers need and then see how that might be delivered. Instead of leadership located solely at the top, leadership is needed at every level. Instead of tight control of individuals reporting to bosses, now self-organizing teams create value by drawing on their own talents and imagination. Instead of steep hierarchies of authority, there are horizontal networks of competence. The foundational concepts of industrial era management have been upended.

The course will present insights from AirBnB, Amazon, Apple, GE, GEA. Haier, IBM, John Deere, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify, SRI International, Tesla, and Zoom, as well as lessons from the global business agility movement.

These insights will deepen your understanding of why some firms are making massive gains while most others are stalled or failing.

The course will show you why these four understandings and three key skills are foundational to help accelerate innovation, increase returns, generate better workplaces and create a sustainable society.

FAQs

I work full-time. Do I have time to take this sprint?
We design the sessions for the busy, full-time professional while also providing a live interactive event. The sessions are four hours long on three successive Wednesdays. While this doesn’t suit everyone, we have found that most executives can squeeze this into a busy schedule. Our experience showed that there were very few dropouts along the way. Almost all who started, finished the course.

Do I have to attend all of the live sessions in real-time?
These are live interactive sessions involving learning by doing, not recorded lectures. To get the full benefit of the course, you have to be there.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
You may become eligible if you participate actively in all three sessions and can you can then print out a certificate or add it to your LinkedIn profile.

Is there homework beyond the session?
To accentuate the learning by doing a theme of the course, we do suggest that participants apply what they are learning in their regular daily work. When participants do this, it really brings the materials to life.

Will my projects remain confidential?
Discussions in the group are governed by the Chatham House rule. However, we cannot guarantee that all participants will honor this commitment. If something is confidential, we suggest that you don’t share it.

Can I get the course fee reimbursed by my company?
Most participants have found that their firm will reimburse the fee.

Do you offer scholarships?
Not yet.

How can I get in touch?
