Student Affairs

Welcome! You are embarking on a wonderful, exciting journey and I am so happy that you selected Menlo College to be your home for the next four years! The Student Affairs Office is here to help support and guide you during your journey to help you realize your dreams. Our goal is to provide a quality of life beyond the classroom and to offer you opportunities for personal and professional growth. Activities on campus and in the residence halls are intended to complement and enhance your college experience. A wide range of programs and services are created for this reason.

Student Affairs is the umbrella under which Health and Wellness Programs, Career Resources, Academic Support and Services for Learning Differences reside. Additionally Residence Life and Judicial Affairs are stepping stones to learning to live well in our diverse community. Orientation Activities gives you and your Parents an opportunity to meet and interact with each and every one of us to learn more about our services.

There are many opportunities for leadership and growth for you to take advantage of during your journey at Menlo College. Through membership on the Student Government and the many clubs that are established on campus that you can join you will learn how to navigate the college environment. You can also create a club or plan activities around your own desires. Most clubs sponsor activities such as dances, cultural events, festivals, guest speakers, bands, athletic competitions and a variety of other activities.

The College supports innovation in student activities. Student groups or individuals are encouraged to visit the Student Affairs Office in the Russell Center to present and discuss their ideas for events or projects. The Student Affairs staff can often find the means to bring the idea to fruition, and will work directly with the group to see their plans materialize.

I look forward to meeting with you. Please don't hesitate to contact me at 650-543-3976.

Sincerely,

Yasmin Lambie-Simpson
Dean of Student Affairs
