New Student Orientation
Get Ready for some Fun!
Our Orientation activities will include a mandatory over-night retreat for all incoming new students. Research studies show that students who are both active inside and outside the classroom achieve higher academically, connect with their fellow students and are more likely to become leaders on their campus.
Our Outbound Orientation Retreat will focus on team and community building opportunities in a relaxed setting that allows students an opportunity to meet future colleagues, staff and advisors. The retreat will be a full schedule of activities at Walker Creek Ranch a beautiful idyllic location in Petaluma, California, about 75 miles from campus.

| Tuesday, August 17 | 9am-Noon | Check-in for all new and transfer students Move into Residential Facilities Activities Unlimited - have a chance to open a bank account, buy automobile or renters insurance; learn about some cheap eateries in the area from vendors visiting campus & more! |
| 1-5pm | Student Leaders meet with new students; placement tests offered; Tech Sessions and more! |
| 3pm | Parent Orientation A panel of administrators will help parents navigate the resources available for their students' success. |
| 5pm | Dinner |
| 6:30pm | Residential Student Orientation, Day Student meeting |
| 8pm | Movie |
| Wednesday, August 18 | |
| 9am | Official Welcome - New students will be inducted into the College. |
| 10:30-Noon | Parents will have a chance to hear from faculty and students about academic success. |
| Noon-1:30pm | Parents will have lunch at the President's home and students will have lunch with faculty. Parents will be expected to say goodbye here. |
| 2-5pm | Student can register for classes or tour Menlo Park |
| 5pm | Dinner |
| 6-7:30pm | Meet your group leaders for retreat information + activities! |

| 7-8pm | Breakfast |
| 9am | Load buses - need sleeping bag or blankets, toiletries, change of clothes, swimming suit, sunscreen and towel |
| 11am | Arrive at Walker Creek Ranch - all meals and activities planned |
| Friday, August 20 | |
| 8am-7pm | All day at Walker Creek Ranch |
| 7pm | Leave Ranch for Menlo College |
| Saturday, August 21 | |
| 10am | Brunch |
