Voice Mail Set-Up

Menlo College Voice Messaging System

Setting up your mailbox:

1. Press the "messages" button, or dial 5000 on your Cisco IP phone. If you are off campus, you may access your voice mail by dialing 650-543-3723.

2. To enter your mailbox press #.

3. Enter your mailbox number, which will be the last four digits of your assigned phone number. If calling from your own phone, pressing # a second time will direct you to your voicemail.

4. Enter your security code. The first time you access your voice mail, the security code is set to 940271.

5. Choose your new security code. This will be any sequence of digits between 6 and 10 numbers in length. DO NOT FORGET THIS CODE.

6. Once you have entered your mailbox, you will be asked to set up your name and greeting. Follow the instructions.

Octel Voice System User Key Codes

To access your voice mailbox, click on the MESSAGES button. Then, click # twice to access your account. You will be required to type in your password (the default is 940271).
