Thinking Differently Leads to Better Technology and Service

In just released, “Alternative Sourcing Strategies,” the lead article of EDUCAUSE Quarterly, Menlo College CIO Raechelle Clemmons explained her experience upgrading the college’s information technology (IT) — from the careful game plan to the “adventure,” and finally the outcome. By employing a sourcing mix of in-house staff, out-sourcing, and cloud sourcing, IT launched new solutions and achieved “significant improvements in the campus community’s opinions,” Clemmons wrote.

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.
