Menlo Athletics Summer Camps 2014 Web Master | June 18, 2014 By Vicky Schultz The Menlo College Athletics Program is hosting a series of sport-specific camps throughout the summer to help young athletes reach their ultimate goals on and off their field of competition. Women’s Volleyball Camp Session 1: July 14-17 Session 2: July 21-24 Women’s Volleyball Coach and Coach of the Year recipient, Atlee Hubbard, will be leading the Girls Volleyball camp in July along with Assistant Coach Benji Saetang. With the help of current and former collegiate players, two different sessions will be offered to allow opportunities for participation with a variety of positions and skills. The first session invites younger athletes to participate in a well-rounded curriculum, and the second is aimed at expanding the knowledge of older and more experienced participants. Volleyball camp Sign-Up Men’s Soccer Camp July 28-25 The Men’s Soccer program will be hosting its Summer ID Camp where high-school seniors and incoming college athletes will be able to live the life of a Menlo soccer player for four days. “Last year’s camp was a great success with involvement from many high quality colleges” says Men’s Soccer Coach Eric Buccere. “This year the camp will again feature coaches from colleges such as Cal Berkley, Notre Dame de Namur, Cal State East Bay, and UC Santa Cruz as well as from the San Jose Earthquakes.” Men's soccer camp sign-up Wrestling Camp July 27-31 The wrestling program will be hosting its 10th Team Camp, designed to improve team dynamics as participants take part in a variety of competitive events where team achievement is the focus. Not only do amatuer wrestlers get to take part in up to 12 matches in 4 days, but they will learn about various topics such as sports psychology, nutrition, goal setting and motivation, and more in their daily camp talks. Wrestling camp sign-up Men’s Junior Oak & High School Elite Camps Junior Oak Camp – May 31, June 28, July 26 Men’s High School Elite Camp – June 21, July 19, September 20 The Oaks will host both a Junior Oak youth camp for grades K-8 and a High School Elite camp for grades 9-12.
