Lady Oaks Receive Cal Pac Honors

November 10, 2011

The 2011 California Pacific Conference Volleyball Postseason Awards were announced yesterday, and two players from Menlo’s volleyball team earned All-Conference recognition: senior outside hitter Amanda Sutter took home First Team honors and junior outside hitter Stephenie Monderine received Second Team recognition.

“Making first team All Cal Pac is such a huge honor for me,” said Amanda Sutter.  “To be honest it wasn’t something I thought about or expected during the season. I just knew I wanted to give this season everything I had, so I guess my hard work paid off.  I am so honored and couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, coaches, and teammates.”

“This was a great way for Amanda to end her career,” commented Daniel Rasay, Head Volleyball Coach. “She overcame some injuries and put together a superb senior season.”

Fellow junior outside hitter Camille Miller was also named the Conference Newcomer of the Year. She also received Cal PAC Honorable Mention, along with seniors Jessica Atthowe and Briana Moreno, and juniors Angie Larsen and Mika Mendoza.
