Students Write Essays in Honor of Martin Luther King

Menlo College and the Black Student Union will hold a Freshman Essay Contest this week to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. The topic of discussion is human rights in the United States, ranging from civil rights to gender rights.
A panel of faculty judges will vote on three winners who will receive cash prizes and present their essays at the Martin Luther King campus celebration on Wednesday, January 30. The celebration will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Russell Center Great Room.
