Students, faculty and staff attended the Spring 2011 Student Art Show reception on March 23 in the Administration Building. The show, organized by the Menlo College Art Committee included works by current Menlo students. The majority of the work in this show was done in courses taught by Instructor and Artist-in-Residence Michael Pauker (Beginning Drawing) and Instructor Mark Wagner (Painting and Collage, and Desktop Publishing), but there are also some examples of art by Menlo students on their own.
Mark Wagner's class was responding in their work to the natural disasters in Japan, and Michael Pauker's students were working with a variety of assignments, including self-portraiture and studies of nature on campus. Many of these artworks are available for purchase. If you are interested in one, please contact Michael Pauker at mpuaker@menlo.edu for further information.
