Melissa Michelson, PhD, Professor of Political Science at Menlo College, released her new book, Mobilizing Inclusion: Transforming the Electorate through Get-Out-the-Vote Campaigns, in joint effort with Lisa Garcia Bedolla, Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Studies at UC Berkeley. The book reviews the results from 286 get-out-the-vote field experiments that Dr. Michelson and Dr. Bedolla evaluated as part of their work on the California Votes Initiative.
"After completing our work for the California Votes Initiative, we felt that there was something larger that we wanted to say about the work and what it taught us about political attitudes and behavior among Latinos, African Americans and Asian Americans," said Dr. Michelson.
Dr. Michelson will be holding an event at Kepler’s Books on October 10, 2012 at 7:00pm where she and Dr. Bedolla will be discussing and signing their book.
