Professor Participates in Brookings Forum on Religion, Values, and Immigration Reform
March 20, 2013:
Melissa Michelson, Ph.D., Professor of Political Science at Menlo College, will participate in the forum “Religion, Values and Immigration Survey Release: What Factors Influence Views on Immigration Policy?” hosted by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and the religion, policy and politics project at Brookings Institution on March 21, 2013. The forum will focus on a new national opinion survey on religion, values, and immigration reform and will feature authors of the research report PRRI CEO Robert P. Jones and Brookings Senior Fellows E.J. Dionne, Jr. and William Galston, in addition to Michelson.
“I'm excited to be part of the national conversation about how we can find a compromise on comprehensive immigration reform that is acceptable to all Americans and both sides of the aisle in Congress,” said Michelson. “Immigration has been very much in the news lately, so I expect a fairly large, interested crowd and some good discussion.”
The event starts at 2:30 pm (EDT) and will be live webcast.
