Katrina Smith was elected as the new Menlo College Student Government Association President last week. She will take over Hanna Malak, who will graduate this May, leaving her current position as Executive Vice President.
"I have a lot of great ideas that are new and fresh to this school. As a business school student leader, I am planning to improve the SBA day," commented Smith. "I also want to design events to cover every aspect of this community, such as a psychology version of SBA day, and a fund raising concert that will be coordinated with other schools and businesses in the area. I will continue creating positive changes and keep setting higher standards to bring everyone in this community together."
Smith has several years of experience as a student leader. She has been a senior class president in high school, and then sophomore class president at Menlo, later becoming executive vice president. She is constantly involved with non-profit organizations and fund raising events.
