Valeria Guirola, a 2003 graduate of the Menlo College Management Program, has been accepted to the prestigious Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
After graduating from Menlo College, Guirola spent four years gaining valuable financial analysis experience in high tech digital marketing companies.
Valeria said she was attracted to Haas School of Business because of the school's focus on entrepreneurship and creativity. She also plans to take advantage of the small class sizes, which will allow her to develop close relationships with students and professors, much like she did during her time at Menlo.
"Menlo helped me build a great network," said Guirola. "My professors guided me and my peers and made an impact on my short- and long-term goals."
After earning her MBA, she hopes to open a bank in El Salvador—her home country—that offers micro-credit and small-business training to Salvadorian women.
