Menlo College President James J. Kelly concluded a trip to Tokyo, Japan, last week—the latest in a series of international visits, which also included Brazil, China, and Germany. During these trips he met with the college's alumni, prospective students, and over a hundred recruiters from 40 different countries.
"I am trying to increase the percentage of international students on campus," said President Kelly. "I believe that a broadly diverse student body enriches the learning environment. I am proud to belong to an academic community that historically has embraced diversity and is steadfast about this ideal."
International students representing 26 countries comprise 12% of Menlo's student body—making it one of the most diverse colleges in the US.
