June 21, 2013:

Menlo College and Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore today wrapped up California Challenge '13, a two unit Introduction to the Humanities course for some of Singapore's brightest young minds. The course, entitled "Money, Business, and American Culture", gives the students from Singapore an opportunity to study business, liberal arts, and American culture in the heart of the Silicon Valley in one of the best business schools in California.

“It’s a very well designed program,” said Gabriel Tan, Assistant Manager of Student Development and Alumni Relations. “The professors are great, they inspire students with their passion and commitment. Most of the student in this program major in engineering and don’t get much exposure to art so for them this was like exploring a whole new world.”

“I really liked the program,” commented Aloysius Ng, one of the students. “We learned a lot in the classroom and during excursions to various historical sites. Logistics and planning were well thought out. I also liked the food!”
