Allan Chen Appointed as Chief Information Officer

Menlo College is pleased to announce the appointment of Allan Chen as Chief Information Officer at Menlo College. Chen received his BA from Stanford and completed his M.B.A. at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. Before coming to Menlo, he was employed as the chief strategist and manager for technology serving as the Assistant Dean for Law Technology and Academic Computing at the Santa Clara University School of Law. He also worked previously at Stanford University's Academic Computing department.
Chen also serves as treasurer and key contributor to the 2012–2013 Conference Core Committees for the Special Interest Group for University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS), an international organization for higher education and technology.
"Allan Chen's experience in the operational planning and implemention of technological innovation will be a great asset to the College," said President James J. Kelly. "His skill in working with faculty to incorporate emerging trends in technology with curriculum and to deploy them smoothly in the classroom will directly benefit the College."
