Menlo College hosted a marketing presentation by BUILD, a non-profit after school organization, earlier this week. Five teams of middle and high school students presented their businesses to Menlo community and talked about their strategy, business process, and goals for the future.

“It’s exciting to see these kids do what we do, see creativity they come up with,” said Hanna Malak, President of Student Government Association. “It’s inspiring to be able to help future business leaders and showcase their talents and abilities.”

BUILD helps children in under-privileged areas by teaching them entrepreneurial skills. Instead of recruiting high-achieving and motivated students, the program creates them. According to its website, 100% of BUILD graduates “have graduated from high school and enrolled in college.”
