Off-Campus Access to the Library's Databases

Research databases are available to Menlo College students, faculty, and staff only . If you access the research databases from off campus using an Internet Service Provider, you will be asked for your name and barcode number.

Off-campus users no longer need to configure browser proxy settings, but AOL users must use a separate Web browser. If you are using an older version of Netscape or Internet Explorer, you may wish to disable your browser's proxy settings. However, it is not necessary to do so.
To disable the browser proxy configuration, follow the instructions below.

    AOL Users

At the present time you cannot access our research databases using the AOL browser. The one provided to you by AOL does not have all the functions you need to access our databases. You need to use a separate Web browser. Connect using AOL, then minimize AOL and open the separate browser. If you don't have a separate browser you may download a copy of Netscape or Internet Explorer. You can also get a copy of Netscape Navigator from AOL by entering Keyword: netscape, and following the downloading and installation directions.
