Finding Author Interviews or Commentary on Writing in Books
Bowman Library Catalog - Search by keyword or subject heading to find books in the Bowman Library collection. Search by subject for your author, using last name first, to find headings for Criticism and Interpretation, Biography, etc. You may find sections in books in which your author discusses his or her writing. Looking in their correspondence with others is another place to check. Here are several sample subject headings:
Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism - a 95-volume set, in the Reference section of the Library; contains literary criticism of authors's works and might provide quotes from authors about their work.
Google Books - search the portion of Google that includes only books. Some books provide previews, but full text of entire books is rarely available.
