EBSCOhost - Our largest collection of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.
Google Scholar - The part of Google that searches only in scholarly literature, including journals and books. Note that full text is not always available. If we do not have an article in another of our databases, you may order it via Interlibrary Loan.
Historical New York Times - Full text of The New York Times back to 1851. Very useful for seeing how events were reported at the time they occurred. You can also try searching the public New York Times site.
JSTOR - Scholarly journal articles.
LexisNexis Academic - A collection of newspaper and magazine articles.
Literature Resource Center - A collection of biographical and critical essays on many artists and musicians, not just writers.
Other Online Sources
Crawdaddy Magazine - the first magazine of rock journalism. This link takes you to the archives of the issues that were published 1966-1968.
The archives of some artists and musicians might be available online; try searching the web for your artist/musician and the word "archives" and see if you find anything.
