Research Databases -These resources are Web-based subscription services available via Bowman Library's Web Page. Biography Resource Center - Search by name for biographies of current and past Supreme Court justices. Also includes links to relevant magazine articles. Encyclopedia of American Government - Contains information on all facets of American government, including the Presidency, Congress, the Constitution, and the Supreme Court. CQ Researcher - Comprehensive reporting and analysis of current issues in the news. Topics include Constitutional Law and Justice, U.S. Presidency, and U.S. Supreme Court and Judicial System. Lexis Nexis Academic - Choose the "Legal" tab, then "Legal Searches" on the right side of the screen, then "Federal and State Cases" and search by case name. ProQuest - Use "Advanced Search" to look for journal, magazine, and newspaper articles about Supreme Court justices and decisions, political issues, and current events. You may search by case name, in quotations, or by "Supreme Court Decisions" as subject. Selected Free Web Sites -The following free Web resources have been selected as examples of the types of sites that will be useful to the requirements of this course. Remember, many free Web sites contain information that is doubtful in nature, or wrong, so always review the authority, currency, and objectivity or bias of every site you use. Need help?
