Research Databases -These resources are Web-based subscription services available via Bowman Library's Web Page. Access Science - Search here for technical information about radio communications and satellite radio. Business and Company Resource Center - Access financial information, reports, press releases and news about the businesses involved in radio. Encyclopedia Britannica Online - A good resource for background information and definitions. Hoovers Online - Information on radio broadcasting companies, including overviews, financial information, and competitors. Lexis Nexis Academic - Search specific types of radio, e.g. "internet radio," "satellite radio," or companies involved in radio. ProQuest - Use "Advanced Search" to look for articles about a specific technology (such as satellite radio), trend or company. Selected Free Web Sites -The following free Web resources have been selected as examples of the types of sites that will be useful to the requirements of this course.
