AltPress Index via First Search - journals from the alternative press, covering cultural, economic, political and social issues; some are full text, some abstracts only. Articles relevant to your research can be requested via interlibrary loan.

CountryWatch - useful for historical and background information on countries of the world, as well as current events. Includes political and social overviews.

Europa World Plus - political and geographic background information on countries of the world.

CQ Researcher - original reporting and analysis of events in the news.

Historical New York Times - full text of The New York Times from 1851-2002.

ProQuest - journal, magazine, and newspaper articles of current interest.

Wilson Select Plus - full-text articles on a range of topics.

WorldCat via First Search - a catalog of books available in libraries worldwide; useful when searching for books not in Bowman Library, but which may be obtained via interlibrary loan.
