FIRST SEARCH provides online access to an extensive
collection of general and specialized databases covering a wide range
of subject areas. It features links to abstracts, articles, indexes,
reviews, and full text of journal articles, dissertations, reports,
and conference proceedings and papers.
FIRST SEARCH includes:
ECO (Electronic Collection Online), which is a
general database of over 6,000 scholarly journal titles from 1995
to the present; and,
ERIC which indexes journal articles and reports
in education from 1966 to the paresent. "The ERIC database is
an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education."
