Endowments
The Al Jacobs Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the Memory of a Beloved Faculty Member
We plan to build substantial endowments so that no qualified student is denied a Menlo education due to lack of funds. With funding for scholarships in our areas of focus, we can enable top students to participate in our cutting-edge programs. Gifts of any size can be added to the College's general endowment fund for scholarship or with a $10,000 minimum, we can help you set up a named endowed scholarship such as the The Al Jacobs Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Endowment gifts are invested by the University, and the income from the gift is directed toward a purpose selected by the donor. Only the income from the principal is spent in accordance with Menlo College's spending rule, so that the gift continues in perpetuity, helping to safeguard the College against changing economic climates. Endowment opportunities include scholarships, professorships, and funds to support the College's strategic plan priorities.
