Biography

Dr. Kao received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas with concentrations in both Accounting and Information Systems. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). She focuses on archival research that analyzes empirical data to provide implications to both researchers and practitioners. The common theme of her research is performance evaluation. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary topics across accounting and information systems, for example, how the use of information technology can impact the productivity of accountants.
