Early Evangelist and CEO
It was clear from the start that Matt was destined for an exciting life in business. In Matt’s senior year, he partnered with fellow student Francis Adanza to write a business plan and make his first pitch for funding to venture capitalists. That business didn’t succeed, but that didn’t stop Matt from pursuing his entrepreneurial ambitions.

Sheri Luevano ’11, is the CEO and co-founder of Team Percussion USA, which is developing tomorrow’s percussionists. She also teaches flute, oboe, drums, and voice.
Andrea Riesgo ’05, is the head of the Human Resources Department at Cooper Mountain Community College District, CA. As such she oversees all aspects of human resources: recruitment, workers’ compensation, grievances, negotiations, employee recognition, benefits, payroll, etc.
Alan Fernandez ’04, is director of Public Outreach and Development at the Genetic Policy Institute where he has directed his energy to advancing stem cell science and the field of regenerative medicine since 2006.
Travis Snyder ’01, owner of Hungry Creative Agency in Los Angeles, worked closely with Kim Kardashian from the beginning of her career, using MySpace to develop her image. She is now the most frequently searched person on the Internet.
Ryan Else ’98, who earned his MBA from the Notre Dame University after Menlo, is a business leader and advisor with a focus on business development, strategy, sales, product marketing and operations. He has raced and crewed around the world, both competitively and for pleasure. He holds the title of Skipper and is licensed by the US Sailing Association.
Chris Garrett ’94, founder and owner of microbrewery Devil’s Canyon Brewery, has won over 35 awards for his craft beer as well as the 2009 “People’s Choice” Award at the San Francisco International Beer Festival.
Andreas Strieve ’86, owns Gallery M, which specializes in locally crafted wood furniture in Half Moon Bay, CA. Before graduating from Menlo, Andreas graduated from the International School Bangkok, Thailand’s only international school.
Ted Mitchell ’83, puts his skills in raising capital and transaction structuring to work at Vidler Water Quality Life, which develops creative water resource solutions in dry communities.
