Intensive English Program Requirements for International Students

The Intensive English Program is for you if you

  • have not previously studied at a school where the language of instruction is English (or)
  • have not taken the TOEFL or the IELTS (or)
  • have less than 500 on the TOEFL PBT (or)
  • have less than 61 on the TOEFL IBT (or)
  • have less than 5.5/6 on the IELTS

Intensive English Program Applicants

  • Admissions Application: Complete the Intensive English Program Application
  • Personal Essay: Please submit a personal essay of at least 250 words explaining your interests and why you want to study at Menlo College
  • Certificate of Finance (must show $56,000 in current account)
  • Bank Statement or Letter on Bank Letterhead verifying the above claimed amount is on deposit in a current account
  • Copy of passport ID
  • Application Fee ($40)
  • Copy of your current I-20 (if currently studying in the U.S.)
  • Copy of current visa (if currently studying in the U.S.)
  • Copy of your I-94 card or most recent entry stamp (if currently studying in the U.S.)
