Degree Program Requirements for International Students

The Degree Program is for you if you

  • have previously studied at a school where the language of instruction is English (or)
  • have a score of 500 or more on the TOEFL PBT (or) 
  • have 61 or more on the TOEFL IBT (or)
  • have 5.5 or more on the IELTS

International Freshman Applicants to the Degree Program

  • Admissions Application: You are encouraged to complete the Menlo College Freshman Application to fast track your admissions decision. You are also welcome to apply using the Common Application
  • Application Fee ($40)
  • Personal Essay: Please submit a personal essay of at least 250 words addressing your reasons for seeking a college education, expectations of a college education, and reasons for applying to Menlo College
  • Official Transcripts from your current high school
  • Official SAT or ACT or TOEFL or IELTS  (waived for students who have passed English on A-levels, AS levels or Abitur)
  • One Letter of Recommendation (must be from a teacher or counselor)
  • Certificate of Finance (must show $56,000 in current account)
  • Bank Statement or Letter on Bank Letterhead verifying the above claimed amount is on deposit in a current account

International Transfer Applicants to the Degree Program

  • Admissions Application: You are encouraged to complete the Menlo College Transfer Application to fast track your admissions decision. You are also welcome to apply using the Common Application
  • Application Fee ($40)
  • Personal Essay: Please submit a personal essay of at least 250 words addressing your reasons for seeking a college education, expectations of a college education, and reasons for applying to Menlo College
  • Certificate of Finance (must show $56,000 in current account)
  • Bank Statement or Letter on Bank Letterhead verifying the above claimed amount is on deposit in a current account
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS results (waived if completed the pre-requisite for the degree level Freshman English Composition with a grade of C- or higher)
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by WES – World Education Services at www.wes.org
