2. Schedule a visit.

The best way to experience Menlo is to visit campus. You are welcome to schedule a personalized campus visit online. You can select from a variety of visit-related activities, including one-on-one admissions counseling, campus tours or sitting in on a class. Let us know when you want to visit!

3. Apply.

It’s never too early to apply for admission. Apply to Menlo early in your senior year. Please be sure to visit our Freshmen Requirements section for details on what documents are required for admission.


Admission Requirements for Freshmen

Congratulations on your decision to apply to Menlo College! Please review the requirements below to complete your freshman application. Please call 800.55.MENLO or 650.543.4496 so that we can put you in touch with your admissions counselor.

Admissions Application

Candidates are encouraged to complete the Menlo College Freshmen Application to fast track your admissions decision. You are also welcome to apply using the Common Application.

Personal Essay

Please submit a personal essay of at least 250 words addressing your reasons for seeking a college education, expectations of a college education and reasons for applying to Menlo College.

Recommendation Letter

Please submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher or a counselor. The letter may be submitted electronically via email to admissions@menlo.edu, faxed to 650.543.4496, or sent by mail.

Official Transcripts

Freshmen applicants must submit an official high school transcript. Transcripts may be
submitted electronically via email to admissions@menlo.edu, faxed to 650.543.4496, or sent by mail.

We welcome unofficial transcripts for preliminary assessment, but will require official copies if admitted.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of $40 may be paid online at the time of application, or the fee may be mailed in. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Menlo College.

Official ACT or SAT Scores

Freshmen applicants must submit official ACT or SAT scores.

We welcome unofficial test scores for preliminary assessment, but will require official copies if admitted. Test scores included on the official transcripts are considered official.


AP, IB and A-Level Credits

Menlo College offers college credit for AP, International Baccalaureate and A-Level Exams.
