Siya Dhawan '11 was born and raised in New Delhi, India. From a young age, she had a keen interest in business and spent her summers working in her father's garment export business. Menlo College appealed to Siya because of its small size, excellent business curriculum and international student body. Siya's major in International Management has given her the opportunity to learn about the business world from a global perspective. She is proud to have friends from all over the world, and she cherishes the four years she has spent with them at Menlo. Now that she has graduated as a Valedictorian, she plans to pursue an MBA from a leading university.

Michael Schultz, J.D.,
Associate Professor of Law and International Management
"Menlo College offers students the ideal opportunity to prepare for international business careers in the global economy with its location in Silicon Valley, the global capital of entrepreneurship and high technology, in the exciting multicultural setting of the San Francisco Bay Area. As a former international business executive for more than twenty-five years, I know that students today will be graduating soon into international business careers in marketing, manufacturing, information technology, and finance. I feel a special mission in teaching at Menlo College to help prepare the next generation of global business professionals for the exciting challenges in the world economy. I especially enjoy the internationally diverse student body which creates an international experience for students in the classrooms and residence halls."

International Management Program

International Management Option in Management Major, B.S. in Business

Globalization and the rise of the market economy are the two most fundamental and radical shifts in the world today. This program deepens a student's understanding of the roots of international trade and commerce; the new challenges and opportunities associated with the emerging global economy; and the trends and conditions of international markets and international finance. A working knowledge of a foreign language complements courses focused on multinational business operations.

This is an example of a possible guideline for on-time graduation from Menlo College. For full requirements and prerequisites, please refer back to degree checklists or the course catalog. Students must also pass the English Proficiency Exam in order to graduate.
