In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Fair Housing Act (FHA), Menlo College is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for summer residents with documented disabilities. Individuals requesting a housing accommodation must submit their request at the time of booking by contacting summerhousing@menlo.edu. Accommodation requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and appropriate documentation may be required.
Pets are not permitted in the summer residence halls. Residents seeking approval for an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) must complete the ESA accommodation request process by contacting summerhousing@menlo.edu. Emotional Support Animals are considered a housing accommodation under the Fair Housing Act and require prior written approval. If approved, the resident will be required to complete an ESA Agreement and comply with all applicable policies governing animals in campus housing.
Due to facility layout, health considerations, and the short-term nature of the summer housing program, residents with approved Emotional Support Animals will be assigned to designated accommodations in O’Brien Hall, first floor, in a single-occupancy room. This housing assignment is intended to support the needs of the resident with the ESA while maintaining a safe and appropriate living environment for all summer residents.
