OAKLAND, CA -4/24/03- At the Monarch Bay Country Course, the Oaks finished fourth at the California Pacific Conference Championships.

Menlo’s number one golfer, junior Josh Swift, carried the load for the fourth place finishing Oaks. Swift shot a 77 to lead the team, highlighted by a one over par 37 on the back nine. Also scoring well for the Oaks were junior Dan Dalby and freshman Jared Ames. Also a member of the Oaks basketball team, junior Trevor Mates, making his first appearance on the links this year, was the golf team’s leading scorer.

On the year, head coach Bill Imwalle said that “the CAL PAC is expanding next year with the addition of Notre Dame de Namur, which should make for a much better conference and the Oaks should be a force with our entire team returning.”
